Salax Awards Series is back now 2021

The only local awards dedicated to recognising best performing artistes every year are now back, under a new management after the seventh edition of the awards was unveiled last week. The awards are now in the hands of Ahupa Discount Cards Ltd which will take charge of the event, for the next five years following a Memorandum of Understanding signed last month between the company and the previous award organisers Ikirezi Group, after the latter threw in the towel, due to limited resources.

We provide different awards to talented artists

The purpose of the Salax awards is to recognize by excellence without limitations or restrictions all Rwandan talented artists and entertainers. The award winners range from well-known and established artists to under-recognized talented people (Music, Authors, Actors and Athletes) after considering their annual performances.

Ikirezi Group started Salax Awards in order to give respect and encouragement to the Rwandan artists and entertainers. The awards were inspired by different international events such as MTV Awards, Grammy Awards, BET Awards and Oscar Awards after recognizing that Rwanda has got serious talented artists in various disciplines.
